Fall Reset: Restart A Routine That Doesn’t Suck

This isn’t a blog post about going hard this fall. It’s about soft starts and getting back to the routines you’re craving.

New you by Halloween? We don’t make promises we can’t keep.

And we don’t think the world needs a “new” you, anyways!

This isn’t a blog post about going hard this fall. It’s about soft starts and getting back to the routines you’re craving.

We’re days away from sending the kids back to school and the crisp fall air. And if our recent increase in class signups is anything to go on, our members are ready for a return to routine. Are you?

Whether you’ve been away for the summer or longer, here’s how to get back into a routine you’ll want to stick with!

Say Goodbye to Guilt

If you’re feeling guilty for missing summer classes, we say this with love: stop that right now! There is no judgment here.

Every summer, our studio gets a little quieter. And we don’t blame you. We love our space on Union Square, but if we’re choosing between a summer sweat sesh, an escape to the Cape, or a quick trip upstate? We’d choose the latter two, too!

We’re here all the time, and while we’d love to see you 52 weeks per year, we know that sunny days are limited. Tell us all about your holidays when you’re back. We guarantee zero judgment… but we can’t promise we won’t be a tiny bit jealous!

Start Small

Going from 0 to 60 is for racecar drivers, not reformers. If you took the summer off, classes 5x per week will burn you faster than the sun in Cabo.

If you want a routine you can stick to, start with one or two days a week and build from there. Rome wasn’t built in a day, and neither are routines.

Our Foundations package is ideal for anyone starting or returning to Pilates after a break. You’ll get two privates to focus on form and your specific goals plus four group classes to build community and kick-start your routine.

Book it here.

Stay Consistent

If you’re bee-bopping around town trying a different gym every week with a ClassPass, good on you for getting out there! Heavy emphasis on the you. When you’re not committed to a single place, accountability lies with you alone.

But if you consistently attend Dana’s 9:30 am Thursday class, she and the other regulars will notice your absence. And not in a “you’ve failed by sleeping in” kind of way. If you want to be part of a community that cares, you need consistency— in both when and where you work out.

Getting back into a routine won’t happen like magic as soon as the temperatures dip below the 80s. Restarting a routine isn’t hard, but it requires conscious effort.

Soon you’ll be swapping your iced coffee for a PSL and your open-toed shoes for boots, accessorized with an umbrella. With zero pressure and zero guilt, trade your summer break for a Pilates routine you’ll love.

Sign up for our Foundations Package and discover a routine you’ll actually enjoy sticking to! We’ll see you soon!
