What's included
Every Piece of Equipment & Amenity Included in Your Rental
This is the full inventory that comes with your hourly rate at 41 Union Square West — nothing on this list is billed separately, and nothing on this list is something you need to bring, buy or rent from someone else.
Ask any independent practitioner what actually eats into their margin and it's rarely the rent — it's the accumulation of things you didn't budget for. A laundry service for bolster covers. A reformer that needs new springs. A waiting area you have to furnish yourself because the "studio" you rented is just four walls. At 41 Union Square West, the equipment, linens, facilities and technology below are already there when you unlock the door, and they're priced into the hourly rate you see on our pricing page. This page walks through every group in the inventory and explains, in practical terms, why it matters to how your day actually runs.
Pilates apparatus
A full classical Pilates floor
You are not renting one reformer bolted to the floor — you're renting access to a working apparatus floor and can move between pieces based on what the session calls for.
On the floor
- Reformers
- Towers
- Wall Towers
- Wunda / High Chairs
- Ladder Barrels
- Spine Correctors
- Mats
- Magic Circles
- Foam Rollers
- Resistance Bands
- Weights
- Props
Reformers and towers cover the bulk of a classical session, but the chairs and ladder barrels matter just as much — they're what let you program spinal articulation, standing balance work and single-leg strength patterns without leaving the room. Spine correctors and mats round out floor work for clients coming back from injury who need to build up to standing apparatus work again. If a client needs extra resistance or joint support mid session, magic circles, foam rollers, resistance bands and small weights are already in the room — you're not stopping a session to go find equipment down a hallway.

Studio comfort
A room set up for the whole session, not just the apparatus
Stretch, mobility and personal training sessions need more than equipment — they need a room that's comfortable and quiet for the full hour.

Studio comfort
- Bluetooth speaker — pair your phone, bring your playlist
- Dimmable lighting
- Air conditioning
- Bolsters, cushions and covers
- Yoga and Pilates mats
- Private client waiting area
A Bluetooth speaker in the room pairs with your phone — bring your clients and your playlist — and dimmable lighting lets you set the mood for your specific session without disturbing whoever is next door. Air conditioning keeps the floor comfortable through a full day of back-to-back bookings, and bolsters, cushions and covers are already on hand for supported stretch positions and floor work. Yoga and Pilates mats and a private client waiting area mean you're not asking a client to stand in a hallway while you reset the room between sessions.
Linens & consumables
Nothing to launder yourself
This is the category that quietly costs independent practitioners the most time when they're on their own — sourcing, washing and folding linens between every client.
Linens & consumables
- Clean linens
- Hand towels
- Bath towels
- Hair ties
- Hand sanitizer
Clean linens, hand towels and bath towels are refreshed for every booking, so you never have to plan your day around a laundromat run or keep a duffel bag of your own sheets in the supply closet. Hair ties and hand sanitizer are small, but they're the kind of thing a client notices is missing if you don't have them — and the kind of thing you don't have to remember to restock.
Shared facilities
What your client experiences before and after the session
A rental studio's amenities aren't only about the room you're in — they're about what a client sees on the way in and the way out.
Shared facilities
- Private client waiting area
- Restrooms
- Open shelving for day-to-day items
- Building elevator access
A private client waiting area means your 10am client isn't standing in a hallway watching your 9am client leave. Clean restrooms and building elevator access at 41 Union Square West are the kind of unglamorous details that decide whether a first-time client books a second session — a client who feels like they walked into a real, cared-for practice is more likely to come back than one who felt like they walked into someone's spare room. Open shelves mean you're not hauling a bag of oils, bands or a laptop in and out of the building every single day — though note there is no lockable storage, so valuables come home with you.
Technology
Booking and connectivity that's already running
Technology
- WiFi throughout
- Online booking system
- Bluetooth speaker
WiFi throughout the space covers card readers, streaming a client's playlist, or pulling up a treatment plan on a tablet mid-session. The online booking system is the same calendar we use to hold your hours, so reserving, moving or checking a session takes a couple of taps rather than a phone call during business hours. A Bluetooth speaker in the room pairs with your phone, so you bring the playlist and the session sounds like you.
Session structure
How the hour itself is built
A few structural details apply across every room type and are worth knowing before your first booking.
Session structure
- 55-minute sessions, allowing cleanup and equipment wipe-down
- Bookable on the hour, half-hour or quarter-hour
- Not locked to a single apparatus — move between reformers, towers, chairs and barrels based on availability
- 12-hour cancellation policy
Sessions run 55 minutes so there is a built-in five minutes to wipe down equipment, change linens and reset the room before the next practitioner or client arrives — you are never racing the clock to clean up after a client walks out the door. Bookings can start on the hour, half-hour or quarter-hour, which matters if your modality runs shorter or longer than a standard hour. And because you're not locked to one specific reformer or table, a double-booked apparatus doesn't mean a canceled session — you move to the next available piece. Full details on credentials and required insurance are covered on our how it works page, and current numbers live on the pricing page.
